Unformatted text preview: Age Discrimination in a Promotion" Please respond to the following: From the case study, take a stand on whether or not the employers actions were motivated by discriminatory intent. Support your position with evidence or examples. Debate both sides of the following argument: Yes or No: Gus was not promoted to the new CCS position because of his age. Support your position with evidence or examples. From the case study, I take a stand that the employers actions were motivated by discriminatory intent. I embrace my belief, because there was evidence to support Guss claim that all five employees that were promoted to the new CCS positions that The Best Protection Insurance Company (BPIC) needed for its realignment were all under forty years old. In addition, Gus was told that he lacked adequate communication and technical skills, but human resources didnt document that in his profile. If find this to be untrue because you have to have effective document that in his profile….

Their competitors in the industry the better they can assess the overall market. By continuouslycreating mobile innovations, compatible apps, and quality products, they will always have loyalcustomers. I believe that Apple will continue moving up the ladder to eventually remove anyclose competitors. They are consistent with the product quality and new technologies. The highdemand for consumer electronics is through the roof. The new innovations that Apple is creatingare helping people and businesses all over the world become more productive.World’s Most Valuable Brands List-Apple.Forbes. Explain your rationale.I believe that competitors of Apple will attempt to create better devices that have programs andaccessories that Apple doesn’t offer. If they can design something that people want but can’t getwith Apple, then that is where they can begin to move up the ladder. Most likely Apple willrespond with something better. Apple has always been one step in front of its competitors. I usedto have an android phone but finally bought an iPhone a couple years back. I would never goback to an android phone. I just went in to upgrade from an iPhone 5 yesterday, but the onlyoption to move to a better phone is the iPhone 6. The pitfall is that to upgrade to a 6 is $300.People are crazy to spend that kind of money on a phone, but they do. Androids tend to be a littleless expensive but Apple’s loyal customers will pay for the quality.

Cigarettes are not only killing the people who are smoking them, but also the people that don’t have the choice to be around them such as children. Second hand smoke kills approximately 50,000 people per year. This is not fair that other people have the opportunity to cut others live short.
