Business Management Resource Group (BMRG) is an accounting firm, only instead of operating out of a brick-and-mortar office, this Connecticut-based company’s employees operate in their own locations and keep in touch online.

Jennifer Katrulya is the founder of BMRG.  She began the firm in her own home and found herself struggling to understand computer hardware as technology advanced and her accounting business grew. She built BMRG into a successful firm that specializes in handling the controlling activities at growing start-ups and midsized businesses across the U.S. and in several other countries as well.

BMRG stores their data online so that clients can look up their financial data from wherever they are located. This decision by Katrulya to go virtual followed developments in the firm’s growth. As current clients referred new clients to BMRG, Katrulya found the need to have employees located in these various locations. Storing the data online allowed employees to work from chosen locations and made remote accounting painless.  The virtual offices looked like a logical and practical next step.

You have been hired as a consultant to bring about the necessary changes at BMRG.
