write a paper developing an appropriate theology of mission (TOM) that integrates the course material and addresses the particularities of the selected mission practice and location

For this assignment we must select a particular mission practice (evangelism, church-planting, interreligious dialogue, translation, preaching, youth outreach, children at risk, poverty & development, missional engagement of arts & culture) and a particular geographic/social location. With this practice and location in mind, the student must write a paper developing an appropriate theology of mission (TOM) that integrates the course material and addresses the particularities of the selected mission practice and location. We should use one of the global Christian traditions as a starting point and interlocutor. Engage a minimum of five sources (at least three from the required reading). The paper should include a cover page and a works cited section. Excellent papers will demonstrate: an understanding of the TOM they engage; an explanation of the three pillars they engage: a solid and grounded analysis of the selected TOM with respect to the selected practice and location; an understanding of how praxis and theology inform one another; an appropriate TOM for the selected practice and location; some critique of the TOM developed in the paper.

We will use the pillars that we use in the last paper, remember?

Pillars: Christology, Pneumatology, Soteriology, Incarnation, Anthropology, Eschatology, Trinity, Ecclesiology, and Contextualization

Do you have a particular mission practice that you want to focus on? (evangelism, church-planting, interreligious dialogue, translation, preaching, youth outreach, children at risk, poverty & development, missional engagement of arts & culture)

we do poverty and development

and this has to be connected to the prior paper, meaning that we have to use the same theology of mission and the pillars, just extend everything to make it a full work on poverty and development

You already have the list of the sources, right?

we can also use two outside sources if needed, but no more than that 😉

Same citation and format as the last one
